The hotel was overall disappointing. The bed in Room 28 was painfully uncomfortable, ruining my first night and day. After requesting a change, I was moved to Room 26, where I faced a cramped shower room with a tiny sink, adding to my frustration. the lack of staff presence made it difficult to get assistance when needed.

Woke up every morning to a delectable full English breakfast that exceeded expectations. The gardens were immaculate, creating a peaceful retreat, while the owner’s personal touch made us feel truly welcomed.

Though the location was serene, we found ourselves quite far from the vibrant heart of Torquay, making it a trek to enjoy local dining and entertainment.

Just spent 3 nights at Elmington House! The breakfast was outstanding, with fresh options and the staff, especially Lisa, made us feel right at home. Only downside was the bathroom door lock not working properly, but overall an awesome stay!

I had an exceptional 4-night stay as a solo traveler in a Single Room, where every detail was thoughtfully designed from the charming vintage décor to the immaculate cleanliness. The outdoor heated swimming pool was a delightful treat, and enjoying an exceptional full English breakfast with stunning sea views made every morning special. Had an absolute blast at Elmington House! The breakfast was spot-on, especially the scrumptious scrambled eggs! Plus, the gardens are a real gem, all lit up at night, creating a fab backdrop. Strolling around is a treat, and don't miss out on nearby Chelston Manor for a cheeky pint!

The swimming pool was off-limits due to the weather. Heartbroken, as I wanted to do a touch of skinny-dipping for my early morning routine, but everything still sparkled despite that!

The hotel's location is convenient, a brief walk to the beach and train station, perfect for day trips. The gardens are well-kept, adding a peaceful element to the surroundings. the Wi-Fi was a bit weak at times, which was slightly frustrating when trying to stay connected. there were minor maintenance issues, like a broken window in my room that couldn’t be fully closed, although it didn’t significantly impact my stay.
